GULAB JAMUN

GULAB JAMUN
INGREDIENT
Khowa                         200 gms
Refined flour               30 gms
Baking soda                 a pinch
Ghee                            15 gms
Cardamom Pd             ¼ tsp
Sugar syrup                 as required (as thin as possible ½ strings)

            Take sugar in a vessel add a little water and let it boil add a little milk mixed with water to clean the sugar syrup. Mix Khowa, refined flour, ghee, baking soda and cardamom Pd rub it by applying palm on any hard surface. Rub it till it becomes buttery consistency. (You can add cardamom Pd to sugar syrup also instead of in the mixture) Make a ball of 15 to 20 Gms mixture just dip it in low heat oil and check for any other additions of refined flour or baking soda in the mixture. If no requirements are there just make balls of same size and deep fry it in low heat oil in brown colour then dip it in room temperature sugar syrup. Again heat it for 2 to 3 mins give it Luke warm.

Note: - you can add a little rose water in sugar syrup to enhance the flavor. You can add 10 % chenna( semi liquid cottage cheese) of Khowa in the mixture to give smoothness to the gulab jamun. But it may cause breaking.
