Mustard & Cress Food Review

Whitefiled is always outer skirts of the town for me because of a long drive. Mustard & cress a california style cafe started their operation beside the biere club one of the finest micro brewery in town. Where the food and fashion comes to gether inside the biere street. This cafe is famous for it’s “from seed to plate” to concept yes you are absolute correct in your guessing. I am talking about organic ingredients. They are using almost all ingredients organic some are locally purchased and some indented from far. Serving some best seasonal based dishes as well. Decor is really lovely with cobblestone paving, Mediterranean-style shutters with box windows.
Stepped in with my fellow bloggers to relish the food and drink in a nice weekday evening with rush of traffic everybody got late. But the service is really good. We started our food journey with some home made beers. Then followed by excellent menu designed by their chef.

Show stoppers are pan grilled mushroom  in Starters. They have given it a nice bed of fried bread piece to it with some grated cheese topping must try.

You should try their salad mustard & cress salad which came with organic fruit, honey and nuts. The freshness of fruits and crunchiness of nuts what a wild combination. Again honey adding the sweetness topping to it.

In soups combination of corn and cocnut drive me crazy.

In the main course their fusion innovation like madras curry risotto & Indian style lamb lasagne is yummy. In madras curry risotto they used some south Indian spices with the crispy lady finger garnish it goes well.

Dessert section they served some mango pannacotta, red velevet cake & mixed berry trifle.

Bon Appetite @ Chef BB
